Benna Golubtchik

My teaching experience, over the last 35 years, has spanned the grades, from kindergarten through high school. I have taught general education and special education classes. I recently retired from the New York City Board of Education. My last position was with Second Opportunity Schools, small settings for those students who have been suspended from their home schools for a year for various offenses. In addition, I have been involved in various forms of staff development for the past 10 years. With Teachers Network, I have developed and taught online mini-courses and a 3 credit graduate course. I am the author of a chapter in the New Teachers Handbook, upon which our mini-courses are based. In my role as Senior Faculty Advisor, I have worked with our online instructors behind the scenes.
