Teachers Network Leadership Institute:
Fair Share for Our Schools: A Multidisciplinary Curriculum

View the Short Video: Campaign for Fiscal Equality: Students Speak Out

Teachers Network Leadership Institute (TNLI) partnered with Campaign for Fiscal Equity and Alliance for Quality Education to educate New York City students on the CFE lawsuit filed against New York State. The lawsuit was filed against New York State’s school financial system claiming that it underfunds New York City's public schools and denies New York City students their constitutional right to the opportunity to a sound basic education.

TNLI MetLife Fellows worked collectively to create a curriculum package called, Fair Share for Our Schools: A Multidisciplinary Curriculum, for grades K-12, to help New York City teachers inform their students about the CFE lawsuit through math, science, reading, language arts, social studies, and social justice lessons. The lessons are easily adaptable and available in formats for teachers to utilize all the resources.
