Introduction (10 points)

. Do you have a catchy lead?
. Have you stated your topic?
. Does the lead connect to your topic in a way that makes sense?
 
Body paragraphs (10 points)

. Do you have topic sentences?
. Do you discuss one topic per paragraph?
. Do you give examples to demonstrate your ideas?
 
Information (60 points)

. Do you have adequate, well-researched information about each subtopic?
 
Conclusion (10 points)

. Do you restate the main ideas of your essay?
. Do you leave the reader remembering your essay?
 
Format (10 points)

. Do you have the proper heading and title?
. Have you used correct punctuation and spelling?
